Breaking Ice

We had to put on goggles to protect our eyes.  We could use hammers, saws and screwdrivers to break up the blocks of ice.  

"It was fun.  The ice jumped off my goggles and landed on my tummy."

 A lot of the ice landed in the shell.  We broke it up into little bits.

Wheels day

It was also wheels day at Discovery Learning time.

Poaching Eggs.

Today we poached eggs.  We had two problems, how to crack the eggs into the pan and how to get the eggs out of the pan.

Jigsaws

We worked together to try and complete the jigsaw puzzle.  We spent all of Discovery Time to complete the puzzle.  

Bottle Tops and Bubbles

We made bubble pipes and then we were able to blow bubbles 

When we constructed something we had to use bottle tops and tell someone what the bottle tops were for. 

 We learnt a new word at Discovery Learning.  It was selfish.  Cameron was able to explain to other children what it meant.

Construction and Mother's Day Cards

We used books and plastic bottles to create something new

Cornwall Park

The last Friday of the term, instead of having Discovery Learning at school, we walked down to Cornwall Park.  We fed the ducks, walked through the Chinese Garden, looked at the flower in the Glass House, played in the playground and had a very quick walk pass the birds.
