Jigsaws

We worked together to try and complete the jigsaw puzzle.  We spent all of Discovery Time to complete the puzzle.  

Bottle Tops and Bubbles

We made bubble pipes and then we were able to blow bubbles 

When we constructed something we had to use bottle tops and tell someone what the bottle tops were for. 

 We learnt a new word at Discovery Learning.  It was selfish.  Cameron was able to explain to other children what it meant.

Cornwall Park

The last Friday of the term, instead of having Discovery Learning at school, we walked down to Cornwall Park.  We fed the ducks, walked through the Chinese Garden, looked at the flower in the Glass House, played in the playground and had a very quick walk pass the birds.

 We read a book called "Bobbie Dazzler."  It was about a kangaroo that wanted to do the splits.  He could do lots of other things. One morning he decided that he would try very hard.  He did the splits.  We can do lots of things and if we want to do something new we have to keep practising.

 We are getting a new sandpit.  Most of the old sand has been removed.  Today some of us made a meandering river.  Sometimes it flooded when the bank got broken.
